At Altitude Luxury Travel, when we operate fully inclusive trips to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix™ we provide frequent transfers between downtown Abu Dhabi and the Yas Marina Circuit using our own fleet of vehicles and experienced drivers.
If you’re putting together your own trip and staying off Yas Island in downtown Abu Dhabi or Dubai you’ll need to get to and from the circuit.
Getting a taxi from your hotel in downtown Abu Dhabi to the circuit is pretty straight forward. Getting back to your hotel after the Grand Prix or evening concerts can be a different story altogether.
Beating the crowds is not really an option so be prepared to queue for a taxi.
Driving standards also vary greatly from the UK and a trip in a taxi can be hair raising to say the least.
For the best chance of getting a taxi after the Grand Prix™ or after the evening concerts head to one of the hotels on Yas Island or try your luck with Uber. In recent years an Uber pick-up point has been located at the Yas Links Golf Course close to the North Grandstand and Du Arena where the evening concerts take place but I’ve had very little success when trying to use Uber in the UAE .
Hiring your own chauffeur may also be something to consider but un authorised stopping around the circuit is strictly policed and locating your driver may prove difficult.
You can take the 190 or 195 bus routes from the Abu Dhabi Bus Station directly to Yas Island. These run approximately every 30 minutes. There are also several other local buses that stop at Yas Island.

RESOURCES
Parking
Parking is available at Yas Marina Circuit for spectators who have pre-booked and are in possession of a valid parking permit for each day they are attending. There is a Gateway Shuttle that operates between all Gateway Car Parks. This runs every 15 minutes from 9:00am on Friday, 10:00am on Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday until 1 hour after the post-race concert each evening.
Park and Ride
If you do not have a parking permit, then you can take advantage of the free Park and Ride service being offered from Shahama to the West Gate (Gate 19). The service starts 30 minutes prior to the gate opening times through to an hour after the evening concerts. The shuttles are expected to run every 15 minutes.
Public Transport
Take the 190 or 195 bus routes from the Abu Dhabi Bus Station directly to Yas Island. These run approximately every 30 minutes. There are also several other local buses that stop at Yas Island.
If you are travelling from Dubai, the E100 bus runs from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station 01 (Dubai) to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station. Please note that although Dubai is only around 45 minutes from Abu Dhabi by car, public transport can take considerably longer, so factor this into your time planning over the weekend.
Taxi
Taxi Load Zones are located by the Marina entrance and near the Yas Plaza hotels. An Uber pick-up point can also be found by the Yas Links Golf Club.
On-Site Transport
If you are collecting your tickets from the East Entrance, then the Yas Courtesy Shuttle will run between the East and West Gates, via the Main Grandstand Bus Stop. If you are driving, there is a temporary car park next to the collection point, where you can pick up your passes before heading to the main car parking areas.
A complimentary island shuttle service is available for all Yas Island and Saadiyat guests. The Yas Express connects all the major attractions on Yas Island through designated bus stops.
This information has been collated from previous years events and should be checked on the Yas Marina Circuit website or App closer to the time.
