Here you’ll learn about how to get to Austin for the Grand Prix™
Texas state capital Austin is growing in popularity with travellers who want great American history, culture, cuisine, weather and friendly locals. Direct flights from big cities, including London, are increasingly common. And frequent flight connections with other major US cities mean getting to Austin is easy from anywhere.
Flying to San Antonio (1 hour from Austin), Dallas or Houston (both 3 hours away) is a good option, since all three cities have large international airports – and they’re all great places to see, too. You can then travel to Austin by hire car, Greyhound bus or Amtrak train.
Expect a total journey time of around 12 hours from the UK, and time difference of GMT -6 hours.
