Marina Bay is around a twenty minute drive from Singapore International airport.
Taxis are readily available at the airport but vehicle standards can vary and air conditioning is not guaranteed.
Pre booking a transfer in advance is a safe and convenient way to get from the airport to your hotel. Links to reliable transfer operators are provided in the resources section below and paying a little extra for a premium vehicle is recommended. Other advantages to pre booking a transfer include knowing that your driver will be waiting for you on arrival eliminating the chance of having to queue for a taxi or find alternative transportation on arrival. Payment is made in your local currency at the time of booking so there is no need to worry about taxi fares or having enough cash to pay for the journey and your driver will know your destination in advance.
Getting around Singapore is relatively easy but navigating a street circuit can get a little tricky and too much walking in the Singapore humidity is something you’ll want to avoid too.
If you’ve opted for a hotel in Marina Bay walking is often the quickest and easiest way to get around as roads that make up the street circuit will be closed to pedestrians and traffic. You’ll find yourself routing through underground links and temporary overhead passes to navigate around the circuit.
In some cases it may be easier to jump on the Singapore subway (MRT) for a couple of stops but taxis are generally a bad idea due to the road closures.
Singapore’s subway system (MRT) is fast, efficient and clean with increased services running late into the night on race weekend to cope with the higher demand. Most access gates to the circuit are within walking distance of a subway (MRT) station.
