Bahrain Grand Prix essentials at-a-glance

Why go to the Bahrain Grand Prix?

The Bahrain Grand Prix stands out as one of the few night races in the F1 calendar, where the illuminated track offers a mesmerizing spectacle, intensifying the excitement of the race.

The Grand Prix weekend also serves as an excellent opportunity to delve into Bahrain's rich history and culture, adding a layer of depth to the visit.

Moreover, the event is timed perfectly in the early part of the year, blessing attendees with ideal weather—clear skies and moderate temperatures.
How many days should I spend at the Bahrain Grand Prix?

We recommend spending three full days, from Friday to Sunday, at the Bahrain Grand Prix. This allows you to attend all the practice and qualifying sessions leading up to the main event on Sunday evening.

Grandstand tickets are sold as three-day tickets so you can enjoy the full schedule of support races between the F1 track action.
Bahrain Grand Prix weekend schedule at a glance

Here’s a quick overview of what to expect during each day at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Day 1 is action-packed with Formula 1 practice sessions, along with practice and qualifying sessions for support series, often including Formula 2, Formula 3 & Porsche Carrera Cup.

Day 2, the day begins with Formula 1 team pit stop practice, followed by the third F1 practice session, support series races, and culminates with the thrilling Formula 1 qualifying.

Day 3, features support series races, the drivers' parade, and the highlight event, the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Try and book everything well in advance

When planning a trip to the Bahrain Grand Prix, it's a good idea to book everything well in advance. Tickets typically become available shortly after the previous year's Grand Prix, often with early bird pricing. Flights are generally released around 50 weeks prior to travel, varying by airline, and hotel bookings are available even earlier.
What is the weather like at the Bahrain Grand Prix?

In March, the weather in Bahrain is generally mild and pleasant, making it an ideal time for the Grand Prix.

During the day, temperatures typically range from the mid-20s to low 30s °C (mid-70s to low 90s °F), which can feel quite warm, especially during the afternoon practice sessions and support events.

However, as the Bahrain Grand Prix is a night race, the temperature tends to cool down by the evening, offering comfortable conditions for spectators as they enjoy the main event under the floodlights.

It's advisable to prepare for both scenarios: wear sunscreen and stay hydrated during the day, and perhaps carry a light jacket or sweater for the cooler evening temperatures.

The desert climate means humidity is usually low, but it's always good to check the specific forecast closer to the event, as conditions can vary.
