Getting around during the Austrian Grand Prix™
In this guide you’ll learn about the different options to help you get around during the Austrian Grand Prix™.
Having a car gives you maximum flexibility and car parking at the circuit is usually free of charge.
If you’re staying relatively close by you can also cycle to the circuit where ample bike parking is available.
Shuttle bus services to and from the Red Bull Ring operate from towns and cities across Austria. Noteworthy departure points are Graz, Vienna and Saltzberg. Journey times will vary and buses use dedicated routes to avoid the worst of the race weekend traffic. Tickets can usually be purchased via the Red Bull Ring website.
If you prefer to do the journey by public transport, the best option is a train into Knittelfeld, then regular shuttle buses run between Knittelfeld train station and the Red Bull Ring circuit.
Unless you're camping or staying at a hotel within walking distance of the Red Bull Ring, a helicopter is guaranteed to avoid the race weekend traffic.
