Which Austrian Grand Prix grandstand is the grandest?
In this guide we’ll help you choose the perfect grandstand for your Austrian Grand Prix™ experience.
The Main Grandstand on the star/finish straight is a great choice if you like having a view of the team garages, the pre-race build-up and the chequered flag. Before the race you’ll see engineers making final preparations to the cars and the drivers coming and going on the grid.
The Turn 1 Grandstand has commanding views over the first corner of the Red Bull Ring that also extend down the star/finish straight, uphill towards Turn 2 and you can also see the exit of the pit lane.
The Turn 1 Grandstand is sometimes referred to as the Steiermark or South West Grandstand and Turn 1 was renamed the Lauda Corner in Niki Lauda’s memory.
Whatever the name, it’s a great place to watch from.
The Red Bull Grandstands are located on the straight after the first corner and views extend all the way from the pit exit uphill towards Turn 3.
Spectators in the Red Bull Grandstands also enjoy panoramic views over the majority of the circuit and can follow the cars for almost the whole lap with very little “out of sight” action.
The Turn 3 Grandstand is located at one of the highest points of the circuit so the drivers can break late going into the tight right hander. If you’d like to see plenty of outbreaking and overtaking, Turn 3 is unlikely to disappoint.
The Turn 10 grandstand is located in the last part of the circuit between turns 9 and 10 as the drivers take a slingshot approach into the final corner before completing the lap.
Multi corner tickets are often available allowing you to try a different vantage point on each day.
