Yas Marina Circuit was one of the first circuits to introduce a complimentary pit lane visit for grandstand tickets holders. For many F1 fans this is the highlight of their trip and opportunity to get up close to an F1 car during the race weekend.
You’ll see the teams preparing the garages ready for the weekend ahead and F1 cars are often on display for photo opportunities as well. The pit lane visit is typically open to three-day ticket-holders and takes place on Thursday. A separate ticket is required for the pit lane walk. This is issued in conjunction with your race day ticket. The pit lane walk has become incredibly popular, and in recent years multiple pit lane walks have been held throughout the day on Thursday. They became so popular that in 2025 a lottery system was initially introduced; however, it was withdrawn at the last minute, returning to a first-come, first-served system. So arrive early and be prepared to queue. If attending the pit lane walk is a priority, plan to arrive in the UAE as early as possible on Thursday morning. Ideally, land in Dubai by 8am or in Abu Dhabi by 10am. This should give you enough time to reach your hotel, drop off your bags, and head to the circuit. Keep in mind that flight delays, immigration queues, luggage collection, and traffic can all eat into your schedule. If it’s essential that you make it in time, it’s worth considering arriving a day early to be safe. Frequently Asked Questions
