Where is the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix held?
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix takes place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, a street circuit that runs along the Red Sea Corniche in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Why go to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix?
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is the fastest street circuit on the Formula 1 calendar, with cars averaging well over 250 km/h across the lap. The 6.1 km layout features long, fast corners and very few slow sections, with cars running close to barriers for much of the lap. The race is held at night under floodlights, with the Red Sea on one side of the circuit and the lights of Jeddah on the other.
What to expect over three days
Plan for three full days, Friday to Sunday, to see every Formula 1 session and the support races. Friday is practice. Saturday is final practice and qualifying. Sunday is the Grand Prix.
What makes the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix special?
The combination of a high-speed street circuit and the Red Sea setting. Jeddah's Corniche, where the circuit runs, is one of the most striking venues on the calendar, with the city skyline visible from the grandstands and the sea immediately beyond the barriers. The race usually takes place early in the Formula 1 season, often as the second round, making it one of the first opportunities of the year to see the new cars racing in race conditions.
