Estimated Reading Time: 3-4 minutes
The Marina Bay Street Circuit runs through the centre of Singapore, which makes the Singapore Grand Prix one of the most fan-friendly races on the calendar. Most fans walk or take the MRT to and from the grandstands.
Walking
If you’re staying in Marina Bay, walking is often the quickest way to reach the circuit. Worth knowing that race weekend road closures can route you through underpasses and shopping centres rather than along the surface streets, so allow extra time to find your gate the first time.
MRT
Singapore’s subway, the MRT, is fast, efficient, and clean. Services run later than usual on race weekend to handle the crowds. Most circuit access gates are within walking distance of an MRT station, which makes this a practical option if you’re staying outside Marina Bay.
Taxi
Taxi pickup and drop-off points are designated around the circuit gates. Singapore taxis are easy to find and reliable, though traffic builds up around the circuit perimeter on race weekend.
After the race
Singapore is a fully central street circuit, so there’s no race-weekend traffic to leave behind in the way you’d find at an out-of-town venue. Most fans walk back to their hotel or take the MRT a few stops home.
If you’re staying for the post-race concert, the route from your grandstand to the concert area depends on which gates your ticket lets you cross. The easiest route is usually on foot, provided your ticket allows you to transit between zones. If not, you’ll need to exit the circuit and re-enter through a gate closer to the concert stage.

I keep going back to these travel companies because they’re reliable, easy to use, and usually have the best value. They’re where I start every time I plan a trip.
Tickets
Motorsport Tickets and Grand Prix Tickets are the two agencies I’ve trusted for years. They’ve always been reliable, easy to deal with, and quick to help if something comes up.
Hotels
ZenHotels is one of my go-to sites for hotel bookings. It pulls prices from loads of smaller sites you might not know about, so it’s great for finding deals. I also check Expedia and Booking.com when I want more options.
Excursions
Viator is packed with walking tours, attraction tickets, and local experiences. It’s especially handy if you’re heading to a new Grand Prix city. It’s a great place to find extras to add to your trip.
