Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes
Bahrain International Circuit has 15 corners and four long straights, a layout that produces multiple overtaking zones through the lap. Most of the on-track action happens in the heavy braking zones, particularly into Turn 1 at the end of the main straight.
The race is held at night under floodlights, so daytime heat isn’t an issue at the grandstands themselves. Evenings can be cooler than expected for the desert, particularly later in the race.
Main Grandstand
The Main Grandstand runs along the start-finish straight, opposite the pit lane and team garages. From here you see the grid build-up, the start, the cars accelerating away from the line, the pit lane in action through the race, and the chequered flag.

Turn 1 Grandstand
The Turn 1 Grandstand sits on the outside of the first corner, at the end of the main straight. This is one of the heaviest braking zones on the circuit and a strong overtaking spot, particularly on the opening lap.

University Grandstand
The University Grandstand looks across Turns 1, 2, and 3, the opening sequence of corners. A good spot for the run from the start, where early overtaking often takes place.

Beyon Grandstand
The Beyon Grandstand overlooks the middle section of the circuit.

Victory Grandstand
The Victory Grandstand faces the final corners before cars return to the start-finish straight.

I keep going back to these travel companies because they’re reliable, easy to use, and usually have the best value. They’re where I start every time I plan a trip.
Tickets
Motorsport Tickets and Grand Prix Tickets are the two agencies I’ve trusted for years. They’ve always been reliable, easy to deal with, and quick to help if something comes up.
Hotels
ZenHotels is one of my go-to sites for hotel bookings. It pulls prices from loads of smaller sites you might not know about, so it’s great for finding deals. I also check Expedia and Booking.com when I want more options.
Excursions
Viator is packed with walking tours, attraction tickets, and local experiences. It’s especially handy if you’re heading to a new Grand Prix city. It’s a great place to find extras to add to your trip.

Money-saving tip
Look for the early bird booking window
Bahrain has some of the most reasonably priced grandstand tickets on the Formula 1 calendar, and the organisers usually run an early bird booking discount when tickets first go on sale. If you’re planning to go, be ready to book as soon as the discount window opens. Early booking is usually rewarded at this race.
