Estimated Reading Time: 4-5 minutes
The Marina Bay Street Circuit runs through the centre of Singapore, which makes the Singapore Grand Prix one of the more fan-friendly races on the calendar. Many central hotels are within walking distance of the circuit, so you can typically walk from your hotel to your grandstand without needing transfers.
Marina Bay is the most convenient area to stay in. The hotels here are right next to the circuit, and the area itself is one of Singapore’s main tourist districts, with restaurants, shopping, and the Gardens by the Bay all within easy reach.
Singapore is hot and humid, so even short walks can feel longer than at most Grand Prix destinations. Staying close to the circuit, or close to an MRT station, is worth the extra cost for many fans.

FAQ's
In Marina Bay or close to it. The circuit runs through the area, so most central hotels are within walking distance of the grandstands.
You can. Areas like Bugis and Clarke Quay are within walking distance or a short MRT ride. Singapore's heat and humidity mean even a 20-minute walk feels longer than at a European Grand Prix, so weigh that against the savings.
Yes. Marina Bay hotels often book up a year or more in advance for the Singapore Grand Prix. Booking early gives you the most choice and the best rates.
Money-saving tip
Stay close to an MRT station
The MRT runs across Singapore and is the cheapest, fastest way around the city outside of walking. Hotels near an MRT station give you flexibility on where to base yourself, and let you save money by staying slightly further out without spending it back on taxis in the heat.
