Grandstand recommendations
Despite being a high-speed circuit, Spa offers several good overtaking spots. The three main passing zones are the Turn 1 hairpin at La Source, particularly at the race start, the Kemmel Straight into Les Combes, where slipstream and DRS help, and the Bus Stop chicane at the end of the lap.
Grandstand tickets are split into Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers. Gold grandstands are the top tier and offer the best views of key sections of the track. Most are covered, which is worth keeping in mind given Spa’s unpredictable weather.
Gold 1 & Gold 9 — Pit Straight
Your best option if you want to see the team garages, the pre-race build-up, and the chequered flag. You will get a close look at mechanics making final preparations and drivers heading to the grid. These grandstands are not in the main overtaking zones, but they are the heart of the race weekend atmosphere.
Gold 7 & Gold 8 — La Source
Located at the tight right-hander that kicks off the lap. La Source is a prime overtaking spot, especially on the opening lap when the field bunches up. You will see plenty of action here as drivers fight for position.
Gold 2 — After La Source
Positioned just after La Source, giving you a view of the cars as they exit the hairpin and begin their charge down towards Eau Rouge.
Gold 3 & Gold 4 — Eau Rouge
These grandstands sit at one of the most iconic sections in Formula One. Drivers flick left, then right, then head uphill flat out through Raidillon. A thrilling view of the cars on the limit.
Gold 6 — Chicane
Located at the final chicane at Turns 18 and 19. This is an overtaking opportunity and a spot where mistakes can cost drivers just before the finish line.
