Getting to São Paulo for the Grand Prix is relatively straightforward, with multiple international flight options and good transport links within the city.

Both Paulista Avenue and Jardins provide convenient metro access to Pinheiros Station, where you can connect to Line 9 (Esmeralda) for an easy ride to Autódromo Station, the nearest stop to Interlagos. For even better transport connections to the circuit, the Vila Olímpia district has direct access to metro line 9, making it one of the most convenient choices for racegoers.

The Brazilian Grand Prix is a must-visit for any F1 fan. Held at Interlagos, officially Autódromo José Carlos Pace, this circuit is known for its fast, unpredictable racing and passionate crowd. With its mix of high-speed straights, tight corners, and dramatic elevation changes, it’s a track that consistently delivers action.

Three days, from Friday to Sunday, gives you the full experience. You will see practice and qualifying as well as the race itself, plus the support series that runs across all three days.

Tickets typically go on sale shortly after the previous year's Grand Prix.

Flights are generally released around 50 weeks before travel, though this varies by airline.

Where you’d be staying

São Paulo. I generally use hotels around Paulista Avenue or Vila Olímpia, two well-connected parts of the city with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

Paulista Avenue is a good choice if it’s your first time in São Paulo and you want to be in the heart of the city. Vila Olímpia puts you closer to the train line used for the circuit, making the journey on race days particularly straightforward.

Getting to the circuit

The train is the easiest way to reach Interlagos for most fans. Line 9 (Esmeralda) runs to Autódromo Station, the nearest station to the circuit.

If you’re staying around Vila Olímpia, you can join Line 9 directly. From the Paulista Avenue area, you can connect across to Line 9 and continue south towards Autódromo.

From Autódromo Station, it’s around a 10–20 minute walk to the circuit depending on which entrance you’re using. Trains run throughout the day, so you’re not tied to a transfer or fixed departure time. Head down early for the support races, or stay at the circuit later and make your own way back when you’re ready.
